Sophie & Harry's Beautiful Family Wedding at The Treasure House, Beverley
Some love stories are written in grand gestures. Others are built quietly over years of friendship, laughter and standing side by side through life's toughest moments. Sophie and Harry's story is both. After meeting online, they have spent the last 13 years building a life together. Eight years ago, Harry planned the most thoughtful proposal, creating a treasure map of clues that led Sophie to their love lock outside The Deep in Hull, where Harry asked Sophie to marry him. It's a story that perfectly captures who they are as a couple. Fun, playful and full of love.. I certainly got this feeling whilst capturing their wedding day. Their wedding day at The Treasure House in Beverley was a celebration of everything that makes their relationship so special. Arriving in a stunning vintage white imperial viscount (Aston Wedding Car To You), Sophie looked absolutely incredible in an elegant off-the-shoulder gown with delicate lace sleeves. Harry, dressed in a light neutral jacket and sage green bow tie, couldn't stop smiling. From the moment they saw each other, it was obvious that these two are more than husband and wife. They are best friends, soul mates. The Treasure House provided a beautiful backdrop for their day. Surrounded by greenery and peaceful gardens, the newlyweds spent time with their children, sharing quiet moments as a family before breaking into laughter and playful portraits that felt so naturally "them". Their little boy was hilarious and helped me capture some very memorable, funny moments. One of my favourite moments from the day was watching Harry effortlessly scoop Sophie up into his arms while she laughed uncontrollably, I'm not sure what he was whispering in her ear though when I gave him a little que to mention something a little naughty to her. There was no pressure to be serious or pose perfectly. They simply enjoyed being together, and that's exactly what I love to capture. The real smiles, the belly laughs and the little glances that say more than words ever could. Their story hasn't always been easy. Sophie and Harry have experienced unimaginable heartbreak after losing their precious son, Luca, who was stillborn at 37 weeks. Yet through grief, joy, parenthood and all the ups and downs life has thrown their way, they have remained each other's greatest support. There is a quiet strength in their relationship that you can feel in every photograph. Their wedding wasn't just about saying "I do". It was about celebrating everything they've overcome together and everything still to come. It was about family, resilience, friendship and choosing each other every single day. Sophie and Harry, thank you for trusting me to capture this chapter of your story. It was an absolute privilege to witness your love, your laughter and the beautiful family you've created together. I wish you a lifetime of adventures, endless banter and many more weekends spent making memories with your little ones. It's that cold time of the year now, and what perfect setting for a birthday cake smash, is a winter themed cake smash and splash. Hull isn't great for weather, and we don't really get much snow, but for one day only, we had some snow (not real of course) for our winter themed cake smash, for two little twins! How exciting! Twins in the studio! It was definitely a good call asking my assistant Codie to come and lend a helping hand. I haven't really had chance to blog much recently as we are so busy in the studio but currently, my little man Tommy is sleeping so I have a spare half hour to show you our wonderful winter wonderland themed cake smash with two little twins. This beautiful backdrop is supplied by PropsforTogs and WE LOVE IT! With all our cake smash and splash photography packages, we always do a mini portrait session before things get messy. and then we finish off in a lovely white roll top bath, how very posh ;) Thinking about booking a cake smash?

We first met this lovely family approximately 4 years ago, when again, we did some family portraits on location. At the time, it was a family of four, and now there's a family of five. Obviously the girls was a lot younger back then, so looking back on the families location photo-shoot at the weekend, it was lovely to see how much the girls had changed, and also to see how big my work was printed. So this weekend we updated this families portraits with their new little addition and we love the results from their photography session. The big day arrived for the wedding of Sadie and James and what a fantastic day it was. We photographed their wedding on Saturday 23rd June, and the day kicked off at the Guild Hall followed by the reception at Butt Farm, in Beverly. The sun was shining with only a few clouds in the sky, the groom, the bride, the guests, everyone looked amazing. When we had previously met up with Sadie, Sadie had given us an envelope with a few items in, a stage plan, aka a table plan and a wrist band, then I realised this was a themed wedding. Another themed wedding! Yes! This was exciting. Sadie and James had a festival themed, rustic, TIPI wedding lots of music, lots of fun, dancing, laughter and beer, oh and tents for the guests to sleep in! WOW! So here are a few photo's from Saturdays wedding. Each guest was given an envelope including their wrist bands to get into the couples festival themed wedding reception after the ceremony at the guild hall. After a few circles around the town, Sadie and her Dad arrived at the Guild Hall. We love this! How cute are these two. James just picked Sadie up and gave her, her first kiss. Love is in the air! After the ceremony, we stayed in the Guildhall to photograph some of the group photos and family photos with Grandparents and parents, along with siblings. We then spent a bit of time with just Sadie and James inside too.
