I have said this many times, but Walker Gate House is one of my favourite registry offices to photograph in. Tastefully decorated with large windows the room gives a nice light and airy feel to it. Another thing I love about weddings at The Walker Gate House is that couples tend to stay away from tradition and go off after to do something a little different, like a tipi in a family members back garden with hog roasts, pizza vans or just a local take away delivery!
With this wedding of Codie & Johnny, the couple opted to have a casual hot buffet at The Potting Shed and no traditional seating which suited the fun loving couple perfectly, because they are both a little bit crazy... especially Codie. I can say that, because Codie, my best friend of over 15 years and also my second photographer at most weddings is most definitely the craziest person I have met and I know a formal meal just isn't her! Being able to photograph my best friends wedding and give her photographs to relive her special day, is special to me also... You know why? It's a gift that will last forever and passed down to their children, great children and maybe even great great children. Here are some photographs anyways of this gorgeous day over the Jubilee Weekend in June 2022.

Dunedin Country House is one of my favourite venues to photograph at. The Georgian /Victorina house is is the perfect setting for your wedding due to it's very picturesque landscape and the light and airy, yet warm interior with creams and golds.
Rebecca and James actually married on the Queens Jubilee, certainly a date to remember, 2nd June 2022. With a very excited bridesmaid who was eager to see " Queeny " on the TV before her bestie said " I do ". Dressed to impressed and looking flawless thanks to Victoria Senior Rebecca looked gorgeous and James didn't look to bad himself. The day went smoothly, the weather was beautiful, and the venue was dressed and looked stunning! Thank you Rebecca and James for booking me to capture your wedding day, I am sorry James I had to stand you in front of the camera millions of times, I know you loved it really. Well Christmas holidays was over in a flash, but I am glad to be back working and doing what I love. The first gallery of 2022 was completed last week and sent over to my client, from a lovely little newborn session. This family have visited me numerous of times before so it was a pleasure to be able to capture their newest addition to the family. This gallery is just really fresh and clean looking, I can certainly see myself creating some gorgeous wall art for my studio with some of the images from this newborn photography session. I adore this colour! Are you expecting or know someone who is? Pop me a message and we can discuss and plan your newborn photography session. I am based on Kingswood, Hull however I do have clients who do travel to me from out of town also. On Friday 16th April little Freddie visited the studio for his 1st birthday cake smash and splash photo-shoot! Prior to the shoot, Freddie's Mum had mentioned in the pre cake smash questionnaire that Freddie was a little shy... I think you will see from the photographs you are about to see that Freddie... was not shy. Freddie had LOTS OF FUN! I always start my birthday sessions with a mini portrait shoot, which also include a few props for little one to play about with and on. Usually, for a shy child, the little moon stool works great for the curious mind... The mini photo-shoot can include siblings and parents at an additional cost, however there is no extra charge with the top birthday package for this. These mini sessions last about 10-15 minutes, a great way for me to quickly learn how your baby reacts to me, and for me to get to know them quickly! Freddie didn't eat much of his cake, and that's ok, because this cake is for playing with and that's exactly what Freddie did! It's all about capturing their experience with something that is meant to be their first experience of something sweet and sugary. Thinking about booking a cake smash and splash? Message me here
A big congratulations to Zoey and Darren who married at The Country Park in on the 2nd August. We covered the wedding for a couple of hours to capture the main part.
Look how beautiful these images are. A big thank you to Andrea at Hello Photography also for second shooting for me. If you'd like to book your wedding photography with me, please do get in touch Sammy Jade x Over a month late, but better than never.
The wedding of Lauren and Lee, who married 6th July 2019 at the Guildhall in Hull. I have been photographing this family in my studio for around 5/6 years now so it was a pleasure to of been asked to capture their wedding day. This couple have become more like friends than clients over the year, and it was so nice to be able to capture their wedding day unfold and deliver them precious memories to treasure. Samantha Jade Photography x September came round pretty quick which meant for me, back to routine. I came into September with lots of editing to do after a pretty awesome month of capturing weddings with my second shooter Codie. Our wedding season this year started in May, but I have still yet to blog about all these fantastic weddings this year, but in all honesty, I just don't have the time to the moment. It's so crazy here at Samantha Jade Photography, and in the studio I have been super busy this month, I just want to say a big thank you to all my lovely clients for booking me to capture your weddings, celebrations and so on. Every month I always have intentions on blogging a summery of the month just gone but I'm always wanting to make sure my clients images are back well before deadline dates. I have a little check list I run down every week with an order of galleries to complete, things that I need to order like prints or props, and work from that. I should maybe add on ' blog ', or I could possibly ask Codie... So I just wanted to start by sharing this gorgeous image of Gary and Martin, who married 8th September at Skidby Millhouse. Despite the awful weather and the torrential down pour, it was such a lovely intimate ceremony, and we was also brave enough to go outside and get soaked for some photos, not something we'd normally do but we was all prepared with our umbrellas, needless to say we travelled home with the heating on full and the heated seats!! These two are such lovely gentlemen and we are honoured to be booked to capture their wedding. I am also handing over their images this weekend which will be a nice feeling for us. The first newborn of the month to enter the studio was this little Mr, at 4 days old he was so dinky and so cute. Just look at that expression on his little face. His Daddy has booked just 2 days before the shoot and I managed to fit him in during the week on an evening. We haven't yet done an evening session in the studio but it was lovely. I know I have previewed the awake shots but we did get him to sleep for the rest of the session in the studio. I just want to thank Dad and Mum for booking with me and hope to see you again for a cake smash. 1st Cake Smash of September and this little guy totally rocked it. He was so good bless him and we got some lovely photographs to celebrate that turning ONE milestone. Our popular backdrop is a big hit at the moment so if you, or your little one loves this little bunny, why not book in for a cake smash with us. In the same week as all of the above, we also met a gorgeous little girly who was only 2 weeks old, who came for a newborn session, again in the evening. I can't show you any previews but I can tell you that the session went well, and was all very pink and girly. This little girly was visiting family over here in Hull, it's always good to have clients from out of town. Thank you again for booking me. Also this month, I was the second photographer for a change and popped along to Cave Castle for a wedding with Andrea from Hello Photography and I got to capture the wedding from other angles which I loved. Andrea is lovely and it's always great to work with other local photographers to help one another out. I love this backdrop, and I just want to thank Kerrie from Props for Togs, on her super quick turn around of this gorgeous drop. I love girly cake smashes and this was all based on a well known character, a bit similar to the boy version above ;) Rabbits and ducks, hehe.. This little cutie was so good during her cakes smash session in the studio with Samantha Jade Photography, we are looking forward to seeing you again at your Christmas mini. Wheels, wheels and wheels. This little Mr LOVED wheels, so of course the vintage car had to come out on our BOY themed cake smash! Planes and cars. Whats not to love eh? This little Mr was so good in the studio during his cake smash and splash session, and also covered Daddy in cake! Good boy :) Yummy cake! This is how the cake smash went, he absolutely loved the cake smash, either being in the studio, or just because cake is that good. His mummy had won a half price cake smash session and wanted a boyish, blue theme, so clouds and planes it was for this little man, and the photos are just adorable. Thanks for visiting the studio, we hope to see you again. and to end my update so far, although we still have this weekend to go, these two also visited the studio this month and I just wanna name these photos ' pretty in pink '. I am really loving the pinks at the moment.
For GDPR reasons, I have to respect clients wishes, therefore I can't add some photographs from some sessions but all the sessions I have had this month have been fab and I hope to see you again. Sammy Jade x The big day arrived for the wedding of Sadie and James and what a fantastic day it was. We photographed their wedding on Saturday 23rd June, and the day kicked off at the Guild Hall followed by the reception at Butt Farm, in Beverly. The sun was shining with only a few clouds in the sky, the groom, the bride, the guests, everyone looked amazing. When we had previously met up with Sadie, Sadie had given us an envelope with a few items in, a stage plan, aka a table plan and a wrist band, then I realised this was a themed wedding. Another themed wedding! Yes! This was exciting. Sadie and James had a festival themed, rustic, TIPI wedding lots of music, lots of fun, dancing, laughter and beer, oh and tents for the guests to sleep in! WOW! So here are a few photo's from Saturdays wedding. Each guest was given an envelope including their wrist bands to get into the couples festival themed wedding reception after the ceremony at the guild hall. After a few circles around the town, Sadie and her Dad arrived at the Guild Hall. We love this! How cute are these two. James just picked Sadie up and gave her, her first kiss. Love is in the air! After the ceremony, we stayed in the Guildhall to photograph some of the group photos and family photos with Grandparents and parents, along with siblings. We then spent a bit of time with just Sadie and James inside too.
We can't believe it's been a whole week since the wedding of Laura and James. What a beautiful day for such a lovely couple. We had only met the pair properly once, at the pre wedding meeting, a couple of weeks before the big day. We met at the church in Rise, where the ceremony was taking place. Samantha had previously met Laura at a mutual friends BBQ a year or so ago, but hadn't actually met Laura properly. During the pre wedding meeting, we got super excited for this couples wedding, and we was also a little surprised, and curious as to how she would go about her theme, which was.... DISNEY! Laura had mentioned to us that there would be lots of colourful flowers, that she crafted the wedding herself, so of course, we couldn't wait to see. On the day of the wedding, we arrived at 9:30am, not long after the MUA and hair stylist had arrived. Laura and her bridesmaids was all pretty calm, with a few old school songs, r'n'b music playing in the background. We instantly got to work after introducing ourselves, and took a little trip into the garage next to the house, where Laura's friend, a florist was in there, doing the final touches. After speaking to these ladies, we was told that they had these flowers especially flown in for Laura's big day and they had been there since Thursday, getting everything ready... and later, you will see why it took these ladies so long.... WOW is all I will say right now. Pretty shoes, and a tractor. That's right, this girly is a farmer, and not the animal sort of famer, her family have a crop farm and as Laura had said during our pre wedding meeting, she would be arriving to the church in a..., well, have a guess...…. As part of the bridal preparations, we also get detailed photographs of shoes, dresses, flowers, gifts as well as candid photographs of the bridal party. Laura had got all three of her bridesmaids a lovely bracelet, with a charm, and a personlised bridesmaid cup, we think these are lovely keep sakes, especially those little bags! We spent about 3.5 hours with the girls in the morning, because the marquee was on the brides doorstep, we did get to photograph the detailed shots inside there before the guests saw it all, which was great. It was like a photographers dream. It was perfect. IT'S WEDDING TIME! Laura's Dad, Steve was lovely, he made us feel welcomed even though we was there to do a job, and we could tell straight away how proud he was of his daughter Laura, as you could see Laura was of him too. We met up with the groomsmen in plenty of time before Laura and her Dad arrived at the church in Rise, Hull. James seemed pretty cool, and not to nervous, but we could tell her couldn't wait to see Laura. He was with his best man, but we shall just call him BEST MAN for now as we can't remember his name... sorry best man, if your reading this :) Rustic setting for a farm wedding, it was just perfect. We spotted this barn when we arrived in the morning and straight away we suggested using it as a backdrop for some bride and groom photographs. We are glad we did as look how stunning these newly weds look, not to mention how happy, and in love they look! Now we get to the creative bit that Laura had spent so much time planning and making, and we have to give it to her, she should really start up an event planning business. Everything was personlised, and it was just beautiful. Little touches on each table, on the bars, on the cake table, the lot. Credit to Laura for the wonderful venue decoration you made.
