Oh my heart I can’t believe I’ve photographed this gorgeous family so many times now! I did big brother’s newborn and cake smash, then these two when they were tiny newborns… and now their first birthday cake smash! Mum went for a neutral cloud theme and it turned out absolutely dreamy, soft, simple and oh so cute. What an absolute dream this little one was in the studio! From the moment he arrived, he completely stole my heart. Those adorable chubby cheeks and squishy baby rolls were just too cute for words. Every pose showed off his perfect features, and he was such a calm, sleepy baby throughout his session despite his Mummy worrying because he doesn't stay still... We styled his session using a mix of neutral tones and soft blues, creating a calm and timeless look that works beautifully in any home. These classic colours always photograph so well and really draw attention to baby’s sweet expressions and perfect little details. It was so lovely having Mum and Nani in the studio too. You could truly feel the love between the generations. Those family portraits are full of warmth, tenderness, and pride. I always love capturing these connections; they’re the kind of images that families treasure forever. Originally, Nani (who was very excited) had booked my middle package, but after seeing the beautiful gallery, she decided to upgrade to the top collection — and I don’t blame her! Every image is beautiful, and it was impossible to choose just a few favourites, even for me! I was over the moon when they also decided to book their cake smash session for next year and take advantage of my special offer.... I already can’t wait to see how much he’s grown by then! I spend so much of my time capturing other families’ special memories, so it feels only right to share a little peek into my own. After all, family is at the heart of everything I do. My Little Crew ❤ First up, there’s Adam, my wonderful husband and biggest supporter. He’s the calm to my chaos, the one who keeps me grounded when I’m juggling editing, sessions, and family life. You might not see him in the studio, but he’s the one cheering me on behind the scenes and often helping me clean up after cake smashes and aiding in balloon arches. On top of that, I am a very proud wife as he also works just as hard, if not harder sometimes running his own business. Then there are my boys, my biggest inspiration for what I do. Watching them grow from tiny newborns into their own little people is what truly sparked my love for photography. Those early days, the sleepy snuggles, the chubby cheeks, the blink-and-you-miss-it milestones that’s where it all began for me, properly anyways... I've always had a passion for photography even though it started with landscapes and fast cars! And of course, I can’t forget our two dogs, who are just as much a part of the family! My little fur babies, Roxy and Diasy. Roxy is a lhasa apso and Daisy is a shihzhu. They’re always up for an adventure, especially when we’re away in our caravan exploring the countryside or spending weekends by the water with our paddle boards. It’s our way of switching off and soaking up family time... And, if we're not out and about, we're playing games and snuggling on the sofa... I'm a massive Nintendo Dreamlight valley fan, it's my way of switching off. Why Family Means Everything Having a family of my own has taught me just how fast life changes, one minute you’re cradling a tiny newborn, and the next you’re chasing them across the park, or dragging them out of bed in those teen years otherwise they'll be late for school... When families come into my studio, I completely understand what those memories mean. I know the feeling of wanting to hold onto every stage, from baby’s first smile to their first birthday, and beyond. That’s why I pour my heart into every session because I’ve been there too. It's not just about those perfect smiley faces, it's those screwed up faces, angelic moments and laughter. Hope you have had an ace day! The gallery is amazing and I'm working out of hours to get this one completed today Can't wait to show his Mummy and Daddy!! This little man came to celebrate his 1st birthday with me, complete with a fun cake smash and splash! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph him since he was a tiny newborn, so it’s such an honour watching him grow and seeing that cheeky personality shine through each time he visits. I absolutely adore his little family and always love having them in the studio and I can’t wait for them to see their finished cake smash gallery shortly!
